Has anyone created an optional fan switch so that the fan can be turned on before the radiator gets too hot but when turned off, it reverts back to normal function? And how you did this!
I do it on every bike. Couple ways to accomplish. You can wire in the switch parallel so the original circuit is still intact, and then you can also complete the circuit with the switch. I got a little lazy on my last couple and just used a 2 way toggle. One direction for the original circuit and the other for fan override. The only risk is leaving the switch in the center "off" position. A one wire thermoswitch just need to go to ground to turn on the fan. A 2 wire switch needs the circuit completed.
