Faulty speedo 97 vfr

Hello, I have a problem, my speedo works intermittently when my dipped beam lights are on, it works fine with side or no lights, I have replaced the regulator and the battery is charging, any ideas would be gratefully appreciated,

What exactly does it do?

 

PCB on back of clock have you checked it?

 

I will check, but the speedo works with the lights turned off

 

The speed starts to register, then drops back to zero, as the revs build, the needle becomes steady, at higher speeds it starts to drop to zero, then again rises, and repeats, if I turn dipped beam off, the speedo works normally

 

The wires for your speedo are as such

Earth Green/black share the same earth as everything

live black/ brown Common live for instruments and for speedo sensor.

Pink speedo sensor

First check all the connections.
