Just a short ride (10 miles each way) to hit the hardware store for a new wire brush, and the grocery store for some sausages, both to be used in succession later today on the grill (also first time this season). Things in my neck of the woods are finally dry enough to take the bike out of the garage, AND it's ready to ride. I'm riding the bike to work every day this week that I can. It's just so nice to be able to ride again. Living under the redwoods is pretty, but unlike the rest of the are, which has been able to ride for weeks, it's been too wet and covered with crap (or I was working on the bike on the nice days).
Dude, you don't grill year round? I've been out in about 1-1/2 feet of snow with steaks on the flame. Can't afford not to grill year round in CT. If I didn't, then I'd only be able to grill about 4 months a year. HA.
Here winter is less about cold and more about mammoth quantities of water falling out of the sky. We saw 10" in a day a couple times this winter. Average for my area is about 60" a season (october through april). It varies wildly by terrain, though (which side of the ridge vs. the storm direction). Mesquite doesn't like to start during the rain. I don't use that gas stuff, just mesquite, oak, hickory, etc.
