I'm toying around with changing the format of the main Forum page, to make it easier to find stuff. Right now, it's a long page with a lot of forums. What I'm playing around with is cleaning it up using Sub-forums. The advantage is that you'd be able to see all the forums in one window instead of having to scroll through a long page. If you go look at Forum Home right now, you'll see that the top half of forums is in the old format, and the bottom half is in the new format. Opinions?

I like that new look. One suggestion though. Not sure how easily it can be done, but instead of the folder changing colors (from blue to tan) when there is a new post, it might be easier to see if the heading changed color instead. In know on another forum local to Lexington, KY, the heading change from blue to yellow, blue meaning no new posts and yellow meaning a new post has been made, be it a reply to an existin post or a new post altogether. It's just a thought as some may not notice, at least until they get used to it, that the folders change colors.

I'm all for cleaning up the look. Anything that makes it easier to read has my vost. I work from a notebook with a touchpad instead of mouse so I prefer not messing with scrollbars if possible. I also like Vin's suggestion if you can do it. Although I use the new messages link from the first page to read new posts. It seems to work great for me.

Been a week or so since I last was here, I was wondering what had happened.

I'd also noticed having to scroll a fair way to get to the top/bottom of the page. A number of other forums I'm on also use sub-forums, it'll just take me a bit to get used to the change here.
