Don't want to offend anyone but this forum is not very busy - until today the last post was April 12. I also see VFRdiscussion is down and may be gone forever. What forum do VFR owners use??? Where is everyone?

Huh! There has been a hell of a lot more that one forum entry hede since April 12. I don't know how you are looking at this site but I get at least a dozen notifications vie email every day that someone has posted to a thread I have subscribed to every day. I also unsubscribe to many just to stop getting those notices.

Seems to be a general trend across a number of motorcycle forums I view. One thing that has certainly reduced the activity here over the last six months is the reduction in rec/reg/stator issues. At one stage there was about one a day happening, what has caused a sudden drop in these issues one can only guess. Has everybody with any VFR more than a few years old removed the connector and this has reduced the failures, one will never know. Has everybody given up riding? I was discussing this with a mate of mine last night, he set up the Royal Enfield Club in Australia about 12 years ago and after a flurry of activity for many years, with the introduction of a new unit construction 500 single which is far more reliable that the earlier ones, the need for members to have club contact has diminished. As soon as a problem arises they certainly come out of the woodwork, maybe this is happening with VFR's

What are you talking about? There's new posts here every day? LOL

We're too busy riding to post about shit that's been discussed a hundred times over.

If you have a question, search the forum, don't find the answer? start a new thread. ;)

I'm thinking that the OP is talking about the 8th gen specific sub-forum.

what makes you think vfrD is down forever? If you use google (WTF is Google?!) You'll see this issue has happened quite a few times over the years and usually ends up with posts on this very forum.....

Thanks Marriedman, Yes I was talking about the 8th gen specific. Maybe it's because no one has any problems to get help with?

Mate, they're only a couple of years old and I think Honda got most of the bugs out of the V4 by now. Give it a few years and I'm sure we'll start to find the new improved glitches that the Honda engineers have built in purely to keep VFR owners occupied in the cold northern winters when they can't ride without spiked tyres :)
