Got back from a bone jarring, pot hole diving ride today and noticed some oil leaking onto the ground under my bike. Looks like my Fox TC has sprung a leak. Are there rebuild kits for it? I tried to find a rebuild manual but only came up with the setup manual. Fox no longer rebuilds these and I hear that they don't carry parts either. Their website showed nothing. Any help?

I'm pretty sure he told me he could. I need to try and get my rear wheel swap back under way. I feel terrible, talked to him about a lot of stuff for my swap and then every thing that could go wrong did and the bike got pushed back :(

How 'bout it huh? I'll definitely check Jamie's site out but like everything else, I'd like to do it myself if possible. Just hoping there's a rebuild kit out there some where.

I think I saw a rebuild kit for one once and it was just o-rings.

Would parts or rebuild kits for other or new shocks work? That would be kick ass!

Yeah, I had mine rebuilt by Jamie before I slapped mine on, apparently you just have to replace some o-rings and check your shims, change the oil and replace the nitrogen to about 14 bar.

I figure it's not too tough to do since I'm finding a lot of people who've done it, I just need to find the right seals. I'll call Fox on monday and see what they suggest.

I wonder if a big tire store can fill the nitrogen. It calls for a lot of pressure.

Hopit I still have all the info from Fox on my TC. I have rebuild instructions for it from Fox. I could scan and e-mail or what ever to you.

When I redid mine I just replaced some O-rings and fluid after cleaning. The rebound knob has to be set to full open for easier pumping action when filling. It's really simple to do. The hard part is re-valving. Which I don't really know how to do.

Generally speaking, you should bring your shock to a shop that does suspension work to get the nitrogen charge. There is a special rig they use with a pressure gauge that accurately adds the nitrogen to the desired pressure then, with the pressure still applied, shuts the valve on the shock. See, the problem is that the reservoir is so small that even the act of putting a pressure gage on it releases a significant amount of that pressure. A tire store won't have the right equipment.

he's right, you do need a special set up and know how to do it. The guys at a tire shop will prob botch more than they fix. You HAVE to have an adapter that screws on but doesn't depress the valve when it goes on, then it has a separate screw that presses the pin valve then you bring it up to pressure, unscrew the pin valve screw, bleed the line and remove. Can't do that with the air chuck you add air to tires with.

Don't expect to get much from Fox - as soon as you tell them you have a Twin Clicker from a streetbike they shut down. I think their folks have been instructed not to give out any support. I order by part number which helps, but it's still a struggle.

I've been doing quite a few Fox TC rebuilds lately, because of the lack of support, I would suspect. I've got six of them in process right now in fact. If you want to shoot it up here I'll be happy help you out.

Correct. Most good moto-X or mc racing shops (independent) will have these. Some dealers will to if they service the moto-x crowd. I've never had a problem finding someone to do it. It's just a regulated gauge on the nitrogen tank.

Getting the nitrogen charged is just one of the hurdles. There are other special tools required to properly disassemble and reassemble a Twin Clicker. It's not rocket science, but it's also not a DIY sort of thing.

Yeah, from looking at the rebuild manual it looks like you need a couple of their proprietary tools ($$$).
