Hello all, I'm new to the VFR forum. I had a mishap a while back and have been looking for a set of forks. I haven't been able to locate any. I was wondering if I could use a set from a different year VFR? Thank you.
You don't say what year you have. There's a set of front forks for sale in VFRW's classifieds. Otherwise, I don't know. Someone here should know for sure but give us your year.
As Randy said, you don't mention what year VFR you need the forks for. That being said, here are the generations and for the most part the same gens used most of the same parts. There are a few exceptions but look at your model year and maybe you can find the forks of one in the same generation. 1983-1985 = 1st gen 1986-1989 = 2nd gen 1990-1993 = 3rd gen 1994-1997 = 4th gen 1998-2001 = 5th gen 2002-2009 = 6th gen
