    Hello,
I just recently had to replace the stator in my 2007 VFR800. I did this by myself and after reassembly I took the bike out for a ride. No issues. When I returned I placed the bike on the kick stand, not the center stand, and noticed that I was leaking fuel from the overflow tubes. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to what could be causing this issue. Thank you for your time and your assistance.

The VFR has an air vent pipe (smaller diameter) and an overflow pipe (larger diameter) which terminate just below the alternator. The air vent should never drip fuel (it allows air into the fuel tank as the level drops in use), the overflow should only drip when you over-fill the tank at the gas station. I have seen the air vent burp a bit of fuel when the tank has been flipped over during maintenance but that never lasts for more than a few seconds.

If you had the tank removed maybe the banjo fitting isn't quite tight? My guess is fuel that drips down into the V will drain out in about the same place when the bike is on the sidestand.
