New member (as of 2012)! My name is Bazza (or Baz for short) and I live in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. I'll be 64 in June and own a small landscape business here. Currently I own 5 motorcycles, 2 of which are VFR's. They are both '87's. The first one I bought back in the late 90's and it's been in my garage with a non-functioning clutch for the past 10 years. It was resprayed by the PO 'speed yellow' and is a beautiful bike - will post pic of that one later. The other I recently purchased and is the blue optioned color for that year. See pic below. A little rough but nothing that can't be resolved. I made the mistake of posting an introduction plus a technical related question in the general forum before realizing there was an "Introductions" forum - thus this my second post. Heading over to the mechanicals forum now with my question.....nice to meet you all!
Welcome aboard!!! Looks like you have some work to do. Nice photo. Your claim of owning a small landscape company is confirmed by the trailer in the photo.
Ha....good eye! Thanks, Joe! If trailers could only talk! That baby paid for itself the first year I had it - which was 16 years ago! I speculated on whether to just take my truck alone to pick up the bike but ultimately decided the trailer would make the transport thing WAY more easier!
I guess it’s a “re-welcome” then. Hope you rebuild this one to original luster, always good to see resurrection projects. Good Luck Baez!
Thanks! Yes, we have to save & preserve these bikes! This baby has about 68K on the clock too so she's no wall flower!
