Hello - I just purchased a 2001 VFR in excellent condition. The previous owner 'took off the decals'. This sounds a little fishy to me because I thought the decals were under the clear coat from the factory. The tank till has its decals...under clear coat.

I've ordered front, rear, and left side fairing decals, but Honda has listed right side cowl decal as discontinued. The part number for the right lower side cowl decal is 64440-MBG-670ZA.

Question - does anyone know where I might find the decal for the right lower side cowling? Anyone had discontinued logos - 'marks' as Honda calls them - reproduced? If so, who or what company did you use to have them reproduced?

    Thanks.

BTW, I almost forgot, one of my OCMoto buddies son, owns this shop. Maybe you can create your own decals...

Tank decals are under the clear coat, the fairing ones are not...

This is one of my fears. I'm afraid when I finally get my 5th gen, all parts are going to be discontinued. It's my luck! Lol

I've bought from moto-stickers.com for my 5th gen, got the main side fairing decal and it looks awesome. Also got some decals for my VTR from them, so I can endorse them happily.

Wow - BWeiss, Moto-sticker is a terrific resource. Thanks for the link. I emailed him about the decals.

OOTV - Moto Cutz looks good too. I love their work with motocross graphics - very tasteful. I emailed them about creating a VFR decal.

Gorillasnacks - I have been messing about with two 2002 VFR's for a couple months. I got one of them to where it was running and riding well, and I started to enjoy riding on the street again. I've been dirt biking and road racing and it's been years since I rode on the street. Last week the 2002 sold and I bought the 2001. The 2001 is harmonized in a way the 2002 can't hope to be. The 2002 is a good bike, no complaints, but the 2001 sings and I hope you find your dream gen 5.

Cadbury64 - The graphics on your gen 5 look great. The side fairing decal even has the rear-to-front fade that the factory decal has. The photo on moot-stickers' website didn't have the fade, but the graphics he did for your bike do, so I'm hopeful of getting an exact factory match from moot-stickers. Otherwise, the decals on his website look more than good enough in quality for my motorcycle. Thanks for the pic.

The gentleman at moto-sticker replied and said he could not do the fade because he cuts his decals from sheets of solid color vinyl. The moto-sticker set of VFR decals still looks great, even without the fade.

Todd at Moto cutz also responded and said they only do dirt bikes, but they do have my aging 2003 CRF450R in their system and can cut one of their graphics kits for it. Cool!

The front to rear fade is done (IIRC) with solid colour, lots of black dots at the back, fading to few at the front so the red fairing below shines through.
