    Hello community,
Hi from north central Alabama. I recently picked up a 1985 vf500f off of Craigslist. I will admit this was not my first choice but really am looking forward to owning (another) piece of Honda's history. Not my first Honda, actually all of my bikes have been Hondas, no matter how hard I looked at other brands, wound up with one.
I haven't ridden in over 18 years so I hope this is one of several bikes I collect over now and the rest of my time. See my oldest child finishes high school soon and I sold my first bike before she was born (thought it was the responsible thing to do at the time). Anyway hello.

    Hi and welcome back!

Good luck with the 500. Unfortunately some are starting to show their age and if you need replacement parts they can be quite a challenge. Hopefully yours will be all good. But if not, the folks on here will do their best to help. PS Post up some photos of the VFR as the folks on here really like photos. (Click the Insert Image icon then follow the prompts to select and upload a file from your computer).

    Take Care

Welcome...I'm in a similar scenario as you. Haven't ridden in years...picked up my 750 this winter. Great feeling. Glad you rescued another piece of history! Thanks...

The night I brought it home, test rode it, found a small leak on the rear cam cover, bald back tire, not a lot of noise from the engine, started idled and went down the road, so I loaded it up.
