Well I just put my front end back on, with new sonic springs, gold valves, new tire, rotors and pads. Jamie did the gold valves and the fork rebuild. I cut spacers and added fork oil to finish them up. Also did wheel bearings and tapered head bearings. I've only had a chance to ride a few miles around town. The front end is obviously stiffer but smooth while riding and absorbs the bumps much better. The work was much easier than I originally thought. So if your nervous about working on your bike like I was, just do it step by step and the next thing you know its done. I was lost when it came to figuring out the spring spacers. RaceTech recommends 1/2 inch preload if you have the correct springs, which I do, so I cut the spacers even with the top of the fork tubes, that with the washer and cap makes my preload 9/16" I haven't measured sag yet but I'm hoping I'm close. Fork oil ended up a little more than recommended at 150mm from the top. The stiffer front really makes the rear feel worn out and soft, so a new rear spring is in my future. Front end seems a bit higher too. Wondering if I should raise the forks a little? sorry about no pics or step by step, but when I get on roll its hard stop.

If anyone sees a problem with my numbers feel free to let me know. I always second guess my work, but feels ok so far.

OH and the head shake is totally gone:thumbsup:Old head bearings had a flat spot dead center. Thanks to Squirrel man for suggesting checking the head bearings.

Hello Yonan, did same to mine.
However I put 140mm oil from top of tube (recommended by Racetech)
Also put in a Racetech spring rated at 0.9. Found front was to high therefore raised forks by 10 mm. With 17mm of preload. & a new rear shock this was close enough to stock front to rear bias if a little higher overall.
After about 1000 miles changed back to original springs, forks back to stock setting, because found front end to stiff (not enough feel from front end)for my weight (11 stone), even with a pillion.
The cartridge emulators alone do a perfect job and as we cannot alter rebound I found this was a very good compromise with front end feel etc.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers
