I just couldn't believe what a heavy piece of junk that stock exhaust is. It looks like it has more turns than a figure eight-it must eat HP and weighs a ton. I just got one bolt to put on-I need a extra long one, so I can get the nut started my fingers just don't work too well-not a big deal. The new slip-on weighs around 73% less or about 2.5 gals of gas. This is a huge weight loss. :mechanic::guitar:

I remembered weighing the stock exhaust on my 2000 VFR when I took it off and it was somewhere around 15 lbs. The Delkevic slip on I replaced it with was 2.9 pounds according to the shipping label on the box when it arrived at the door. Where else on a bike can you shave off 12 pounds of weight for the bargain basement price of $175.

I showed pics of folding levers and sliders-the bike looks a little odd with one can on ,but the loss in weight high up will make it less likely to fall over. the stock exhaust is really a heavy piece of junk and looks like it robs a lot HP too with all the curves.:eek:nthego::tyrannosaurus:

The kitten looks as though you revved the throttle and scared it a wee bit. :)

The kitten is indoors only-to valuable to be outside where a Snow Owl is. I started the bike up three times the sound is perfect-almost to noisy-that's perfect if you ask me-just barely passing inspection-I hear its 98db which would be illegal if tested with a sound meter, but as long is I don't rev it up too much its Ok. This most be the best slip-on out there because you can also use the spare can and get the old one repaired in 5,000 miles or so. This carbon can is suppose to have a 1,000 miles on it-Looks almost new. I had trouble with the long bolt under the seat, but found a longer one that worked perfect- I used a spacer washer on both ends with some sealer black shit and used some on the connecting pipe-checked for leaks. Came out very good-I am getting a plate very soon-the seat was shaved one inch, sliders on, folding levers-very nice, single exhaust can, so I lost around 17pds- all these mods will make it less prone to tip over, and if it does go over the sliders should save the plastic and the levers should fold over- I hope. I was in a rush to ride it last time because I had only a ten day plate on it-maybe part of the reason I screwed up,. Other part I haven't been riding in a long while. And not to mention that stock boat exhaust. :guitar:
