Greetings from North East Switzerland!

Hi, I'm Thomas, originally from Great Britain but currently living up in the North East corner of Switzerland, next to Liechtenstein. I bought an '86 vintage VF500F2 about a month ago, and I've been having a blast getting back into biking after a gap of about a decade. My last bike was a Honda 550 Four, so I'm (sort of) keeping it in the family.

Looking forward to sharing ideas and rides

Despite the traditional welcome banter from Pliskin - we are all very friendly on here and looking forward to seeing some pictures of the VF500. If the roads over on your side of Switzerland are as good as those over here by Lac Leman, then I am sure the VF500 will give you plenty to smile about.

Hey, we've got Top Gear's Best Driving Road in the World, the Flüelapass out of Davos The other mountain roads are also spectacular.

 

Isn't each and every road in Switzerland spectacular somehow...?

What about those (obviously) famous blonde Swiss beauties?? Where are they??

I dunno, I haven't seen many round here. There seems to be a bit of an, ah, in-breeding problem around here. In that you can instantly tell which town someone comes from......

I'm living in a wee village - I can tell.
Mind you, there are some stunning girls around here. But they aren't blonde and they mostly speak portugese or french... :frown:
But oh well.

 

I think I've worked it out: our North American friends are confusing Switzerland with Sweden

 

Thomas - your spending an awful lot of time posting useless shit rather than putting up some pictures of bikes or blondes. Besides, some of those inbred blonds are hot! lol

Not bad Thomas, you will getting along well here...............That 500 look not that bad. Now take her out for a road trip.

 

I did a 220km round trip the other day, here to Davos and back the longer way. Didn't take any photographs or video though. It was a lovely ride through the Alps, but I was getting a bit cramped come the end. The VF500 isn't a very big bike. I've also run up and down to Zürich a couple of times, 130 km each way (work commute). All told, I've put about 1000km on her since I bought her.
