i finally took my exhaust off and gutted the cans. it took a lot longer than expected, but i figured out what to do after the first cans. lol. that first one took forever to get everything out cause i cut the end off too high, but the second one came right apart after i cut it.

notice the cut on the end of this one, DONT CUT THIS CLOSE TO THE END. trust me, youll see on the next pic

THIS IS WHERE YOU WANT TO CUT, just above the threaded tab. dont worry, it will work out fine.

i cut a 1.5-2in section of the heat shield out to get to the bottom weld

i dont have any more pics beyond this, but if you cut on the lower side (closer to the cat) of the weld above (the one holding the muffler together beneeth the heat shield) you can easily remove the mufflers insides with a few quick hits. we part of the tube stick out on the ground, then used a jack stand to hit the insides out through the exit side. i know it doesnt sound right (esp w/o pics), but once you get it apart youll know. basically you take it all apart, then hit the insides out from the part closer to the cat to the exit.

also notice on this pic that we welded the end on cause they were just tac welded on there. this seals up the end of the muffler so it all exits though these tips (covered by the chrome end piece of course).

Sounds nice. I would like to hear it while driving though. That is the real test.
