gutted exhaust

    so im confused. when doing the exhaust gut. i have read a bunch of different posts and no one explains. are you just pulling out all of the inside pipes and putting the ends back on?

    Yes, essentially. You cut before the welds, hammer, chisel, and pull the baffles out, well the caps back on. There is another process that IMO, is a lot easier, doesn't require welding and produces a much better sound than a fully gutted exhaust. The process that I used I found over at VFR Discussion.

    alright...thanks alot for your help. i thought about just doing the dremmel but i have a welding unit readily available so i figured i would just go thru and do the full gut just got confused with the part.

    Yeah both achieve the same results. I didn't have access to a welder and didn't want to deal with it. The Dremel method only took about 1.5hrs. If I had to do it again it would probably take 45 min.
