So kinda a dumb but serious question. Recently my lo beam went out and was actually working just fine till that point. The bulbs are 100$ and i dont have that kind of money to spend if thats not the issue, because I know with lots of places headlights can not be returned once opened or used. I dont want to spend the money, put it in, and still have it not working. So heres the question, if i take out my high beam bulb (which works fine) should it work in the lo beam socket? Are they different bulbs? I put the lo beam bulb in my high beam socket and it came on but made an awful humming noise. Does the high beam socket put out more juice and allow the lo beam one to work in the hi beam socket? The little metal cylinder on the lo beam one is cracked. The lo beam bulb is a D2S 35W. Is they lo and high beam headlights on the same fuse or are they on different fuses? Any help would be appreciated very much.
