A little off topic for a bike forum, but what guy doesn’t like trucks and tractors right?
I heavy hauled for 15 years and thank God I never had a real bad crash.
My buddy was haulin a 9 axle, 115 long with a drill rig that weighed 70 tons, just turned onto a bridge here in SoCal and the jeeps steering on the trailer broke.
Just found out the kingpin didn’t brake off, the impact broke BOTH goose necks off the trailer, also broke the transmission mounts on the rig.

Wow! Good to see that there aren't any other vehicles tangled in the wreckage. Did the rig come to a stop upright?

I used to deal with truck drivers. I have a joke about it. I won't post it here.

Hope your friend was OK, that looks bad.
I will keep even more distance from big trucks.

I am reminded of the same every time I have a tire EXPLODE when on the freeway. It is always a jolt to my nerves, and I'm in the cab ten to fifty feet away!

Try being in a lower car, such as a Mustang, immediately next to the trailer's tire as it blows at freeway speeds. I had my windo up but I still gave birth to a female recruit.

Yes when the steering broke on the trailer it hit the bridge and broke apart, ripping the gooseneck off the deck that was carrying the drill.
    He was very lucky.

That’s why you ALWAYS pass rigs ASAP. Tires are at 100psi then the shred

You know it. I plan my pass and open throttle wide.
They block my view and sometimes throw off tire gators or smaller crap.
I don't even want to follow cars if I can avoid it.
