Hey,I'm the new guy. I am the proud owner of a new leftover 05 silver VFR. So far I've done a Sarget seat, riser bars and a Givi sheild. I'm looking for feedback on a couple of things from you the experts; is there any sound or power improvement in gutting the cat. What exhaust is the one to use? Hello Will and welcome to VFRWorld. Those are some nice changes you made and I am sure you won't be sorry you made them. Exoticsportbike.com has a wide selection of aftermarket exhaust systems. I am sure you will get some power increase, due to less backpressure, but I cannot say how much. It may even be a little louder. You will probably get larger gain in power with an aftermarket exhaust. You might also want to consider a power commander. Staintune exhaust seems to be the most popular. I have a 93 and I put a D & D muffler on it (was meant for a 94 - 97, but I had an muffler shop make a midpipe) and It sounds like a GTO series V-8.
