Hey guys-- this is my first post here-

I have had an 1984 VF700F for the past ten years, and I haven't found another bike that I like as much (I've ridded supermotos, CBR's, mopeds, the lot...).

Anyway, I layed it down in '99 and busted up the master cylinder. I got a new one from a junkyard, and went to rebuild it last month.

Well, the rebuild kit piston was a bigger bore than the cylinder in the master cylinder--Maybe I had a MC from a single-disk bike all those years-- no wonder the lever was worryingly squishy. I was 17 at the time, and had no way of checking the bore diameter-- i just figured i bled the system poorly.

Well I'm older and wiser now, and am trying to get this set up perfectly--

Does anyone have an old 1984 VF700F master cylinder laying around (or the same thing that was cross-specced on another bike)? I'd like it to be in nice shape, but rebuildable condition is fine, since I have the rebuild kit on my desk at the moment.

Thanks so much, I can't wait to get this thing back on the road.

Hmm- it is a twin disk, and the two master cylinders take the same rebuild kit, so presumably they are similar or the same functionally, but it is a different design. I'll keep you in mind if nothing else comes up.

    thanks!
