Upon tryin to leave the grocery store the other day, I got on, started the bike, it started, as soon as I put it in to gear it stalled. Oops, the side stand is down. I forget that once in awhile. No big deal, so I put it back into neutral, kick the stand up, cycle key off then back on, and it cranks and cranks, but no start. I did not knowtice til later, that there was no FI light on dash, and no sound of the usual fuel pump hum.
    Please help me trouble shoot.
I have already checked the BAC (bank angle censor) via bypass.

First thing to check would be fuses.
If you have a second key, try that. While it's a long shot, what you are describing sounds exactly like what happens if the chip in the key is not recognized or there is a problem with the immobilizer.

Thanks Norse, but we can cross that one off the list as my 2002 VFR and I believe many sold here in the states did not come equipped with HISS and the chipped key security system. What I do need though is a diagram of the fuse block or which specific fuse I should check that is associated with the FI.

I'd also check all the fuses. Normally fuel pump does not run if... fuses related to FI are blown/bad contact, sidestand down in gear or kill switch in Off.... or intermitent problem with kill switch... perhaps give it a cleaning with contact cleaner and cycle it a few times. I have seen others with some rather bad looking connections at the starter relay connector. Bottom line, go over everything electrically related, including battery connections.
    Did US bikes get immobilizers?

It should be printed on the lid of the fuse box.
Even if it for some reason isn't on yours, there aren't that many fuses and the are all in one place. Pretty easy to check all of them.

Checked all the fuses this evening, all good, including 30amp, but knew that was still good as nothing works without. My question is whether it is the power commander V I installed a year ago? Hard to believe because put on nearly 1000 miles since with no issue. However I notice the unit power and status lights do not illuminate when I turn the key on. Of course I don't remember if those don't come on til bike starts anyways. So I guess my next step is to disconnect Power commander and go back to stock. Any other ideas much appreciated. Back later.

Sometimes the PC's just need a disconnect and reboot... you may have an intermittent power supply to it, so I'd refresh that and the ground.
