I am in St Augustine Fl and have a 1995 VFR 750 that I got last year off Craigslist.

Picked it up because it looked good in the picture and was priced right. I had just sold my Ducati 999
and was looking for a new experience and something to work on and spend some money on.

After my first longish ride I realized, despite all my expectations, that I really enjoyed this bike, a lot actually.

After that, I dove right in. All the catch up items (34K miles on it) and then the de rigueur Gen 3 rear wheel and 180 tire, brake pads, head bearings, new thermostat, and the list goes on. I do my own work and have a fairly nice shop so no issue there. So my new to me, priced right Gen 4 is now worth a bit more than I would have thought but this bike is great to ride and I will keep it for a while I can tell.

Looking forward to interacting with the group and getting some new ideas. I am finding myself increasingly attracted to Gen 3's as well...as they said in the movie "somebody stop me" :)

Don't worry about the miles! I recently sold one with 117000, and it still ran and rode great! This is what happens when you buy a lump of Honda goodness! Yours looks great! don't let it tip over though, body parts are almost impossible to find.

Wow! Trying to dump it already! I see you just listed it on eBay, I've seen nicer ones with WAY less miles go unsold for $900.00 less. good luck!

I knew a guy that had a Buell. Every year he had to get a new license plate due to vibrations that tore the metal of the attaching screws. I told him to use rubber grommets on the screws but never did! He lost it one year within the first 100 miles of a 450 mile trip in canyon lands. Rode the rest of the way without a plate!;-)
