"HONDA" decals

I was thinking about adding some decals to my bike and wanted to see if people have opinions. I do like the HONDA logo i see on some CBR's that are about 12" and go across the bottom side of the fairing? I dont see many people doing things like that on VFR's is it too squidish? Also not sure where to buy them. Dealer is a good start i suppose. Thanks in advance for the oppinions.

There are Honda decal kits all over ebay but I cannot attest to their quality. The dealer is a good place to start but I would imagine some of the online places such as BikeBandit or RonAyers would be able to get them to you at better prices than the dealer could.

Its funny you brought this up because I just starting thinking about something similar today, with the exception that I am looking for the Honda wings in gold instead of silver.

 

I bought two original Honda decal wings about 10 years ago from the dealer, with the intent of putting them on my '84 VF 1000F. Finally decided to put them on last year...but wait...I thought I'd PAINT THE TANK first...you know, get the chips and scratches off first. WHAT A MISTAKE! After spending about $200 bucks on paint, professional primer, compressed air spray guns, sand paper etc...and after many hours of sanding and priming, sanding and priming...you get the picture...I FINALLY took it to a pro painter who did it up nice for about $70 cash! I thought about putting some "clear" over top of the decals but he advised against it. So my recommendation...clean the tank...peel the decal backing...put it on...and enjoy!

 

I just bought a new set for my 93 from here: Honda Decals. They were pretty good with pricing and shipping. They hand make them to whatever colors you want, then send them out. I ordered mine and got them in about 2 weeks. Good luck.

 

I was thinking of getting little 1/2 dollar size transformer autobot stckers in red and putting them on each side of my rear seat cover. Ya kinda nerdy, but I'm a software engineer

I'm kinda partial to the HONDA across the bottom of the bike. But, that's probably b/c I have it across the bottom of mine!

My bodywork is done, but I needed a replacement decal. I ordered from extreme decals, and I will report back the shipping time and quality when they arrive.

 

I also went to xtremedecals.com to get my decals, just bought these to go on each side of the lower fairings.

An update...Just put them on.

 

Is that VFR decal factory of aftermarket? If factory, what year, I need to add something to my 08 siver.

look on the last pages they were a nice set.
I forgot the sellers name but he lists them alot.

 

My 07 has the factory Honda at the bottom. I also use Photo shop to see what the bike will look like with other decals on it.I just up load a picture of my bike sideways and add the letters to it and move them around and position them where I like to see what the bike would look like before I put them on.
