race bike run without air filter, no thanks, needs engine rebuild. like most racebikes, it was beat on and stressed to the limit, used up then offered for sale. hey, where ya gonna buy parts ?

 

Impressive that you can tell that from the pics.

 

I ran my SBK SV for 6 years with no engine/carb issues with Flatties. No intaking anything that I didn't introduce. No pods and I didn't even run the little rock catchers. Just straight V stacks. In fact, I was one of the few that never had a mechanical during any races due to the engine/carbs. Now fuel...don't get me started!!
