Aboot to buy a Hot Cams shim kit for 6th gen, any bad input on this from any of you? Adjusting an 02 and it is all oot of whack and local dealer folded up and the next is too far to run for shims more than once. Thanks.

I've got a Hot Cams valve shim kit for my VFR800 Toe. Got another kit for my RC51 too.

The kit comes in two boxes. One box has the valve shims from 1.20mm to 2.40mm the other has the valve shims from 2.45mm to 3.50mm for a total of 47 different sizes for you to choose from. You get three shims in each size and the sizes are clearly listed right on the shims.

Got nuthin' bad to say about the kit,I haven't had to use it yet though. My valves were all still in spec when I did the check at 17K miles.

Just a heads-up Toe (you prolly already know this anyway) but you're gonna need a set of the slide pin stoppers to adjust the VTEC valves. Ron Ayers has them, part number 07XMZ-MCEA100. They come in a package of 8,cost about $20.00.
