How Fast Can You Put on Your Helmet??

    I've always wondered why a lot of people carry their helmets either in the helmet lock or on their back rests or luggage carrier.
    I suspected that while they enjoy riding without helmets, in the back of their mind they realize that in case of an accident, it would certainly behoove them to have their helmet with them.
    I've imagined that they probably do some type of drills, similar to firemen, where they practice for hours turning around, unlocking or just grabbing their helmets, slapping them on firmly, fastening their chin straps, all in mere milliseconds, to insure they are ready to react when the cager pulls out in front of them, or as they come down off a 100 mph wheelie and get into a tank slapper.
    Well, I'm here to admit I was wrong. As the photo below indicates, carrying the helmet on the helmet lock is to protect the BIKE!! Keeps that left side plastic in good condition.
    Wow, do I feel silly now...

    iVE ALWAYS SAID, A HELMET ONLY HAS TO WORK ONCE, SO BUY A GOOD ONE!!.... LOOKS LIKE HE SHOULD OF TIED ONE TO THE FRONT BIKE TOO .

    seriously.... the medical bills will cost more than the plastics, i guarantee it...

    Everytime I see one locked to a bike, I say it will do alot better on your head.

    lets hope so.............. $5.00 helmet for a $5.00 head

    It totally protected the rear quarter of that bike....good thinking!
