So I decided to do a voltage test on my battery to check charging system health. I had it idling for a while as well as revving it up and it was consistently over 13.5 volts, mainly around 14.5 volts at the battery. These numbers came from idle and various revs up to 5k at a standstill in my garage.

Now, my question is, how hot does the R/R get in this situation? After I did this my arm accidentally touched it and it was hot enough to cause my to jump. Is the normal?

Great website to check out Yuasa Batteries, Inc. On the homepage on the left side click on literature, then click on Yuasa technical manual. 43 pages of everything you wanted to know about batteries. Charging, testing, storing etc. I thought it was so good I printed a hard copy to save for reference.

R/r's run hot but knowing about the rest of the system can only help!
