hy is gen3 plastic so rare

From what i find most people that need to replace their gen3 plastic get cbr plastic and modify their own mounts.

Iv searched for gen3 plastic and they are few and far in between and VERY expensive.

i am in diar need of a new set of plastic, but 900 bucks is pretty steep for a new set.
