Idiots of the Week From RideApart

This comes from the 2014 Ride of the Centrury (ROC) held in Saint Louis, MO.

At about 1:00 in theres a bike in the center of the screen. Passenger is wearing a yellow sweatshirt w/ pink helmet. I could be wrong but it appears to be a Gen 6 (R1?). If it is a VFR hopefully it wasn't anyone from this community.

Seems to me they are all enjoying a sense of belonging. At least if tragedy strikes, they will have comfort close by.

I hate seeing bikes crash. But these guys almost make me think they got what they deserved. They ride like fools, and they crash. No real surprises there.

 

This sort of riding video pisses me off to see it. For two reasons, it helps perpetuate the stereo type that motorcylist are careless, thoughtless and are nothing but hooligans on the road. It also gives the people making these video just another outlet to showcase their stupidity.

There's a saying..."You can't fix stupid". Unfortunately, this seems to apply to riders like the ones in the video. Most likely they will not learn from this incident and continue to ride in this manner until, either their bike is no longer rideable or they're too injured (or worse) to ride. Just another notch in the belt for reasons to hate us motorcyclist!

Just to clarify too, I am not opposed to stunt riding, just as long as it's not on public streets where you can endanger the lives of others.

 

Nature has a way of weeding out the stupid.

 

Yay! It's a bunch of fucking morons! Some people just have to learn the hard way.
