The Fuel and Ignition Maps are here and ready! And holy crap that looks like 5 degrees of ignition timing advance on top of the factory timing curve. THAT IS A LOT MORE THAN THE OLD RAPID BIKE 2 AND 3 MAPS THAT I AM CURRENTLY RUNNING.

that's actually... kinda wimpy compared to the ignition map I cooked up. still 5 degrees advance over stock. it's a little more aggressive earlier in the throttle opening, which I didn't want. I didn't/don't want it under any circumstances rattling.

I just installed it yesterday. I can assure you it does not rattle under any circumstances.

As far as ten degrees advance over stock. That's a good way to put a rod through your block. I wouldn't be surprised if it lost power with ten degrees advance over stock, if it even ran at all.

You want Race, if you want something infinitely more useful than a power commander.

both are more powerful, and more tunable, and self-tunable, unlike PC3/5/whatever

but race will tune ignition timing, which is a Must Do, to get it operating more powerfully on 93 octane.

    but hey. it's your V.

with that new profile, looks like it's time to go into drag mode in this cool fall air, candy. That is after a few hours of break in runs with autotune on. ;)

    doeeeet.

There is a million variables that could influence how much power your bike will make when equipped with the rapid bike. If your bike is stock the ignition mapping alone should be worth at least 8% more power. If your bike is high modified and really out of tune and you utilize 4 wide band o2 sensors to tune each cylinder independently, that number can be much greater.

Before and after Rapid Bike racing dynos of a 100% stock 2003 VFR800, tuned using the 2 factory narrowband o2 sensors. Keep in mind that this is with no other mods, not even a slip on or air filter. The improvements should be much greater on modified bikes or in the case of tuning each cylinder independently with four o2 sensors. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

That is before and after at 100%, 23% and 13% throttle positions. On the 13% throttle you can see the dramatic breakdown of just fuel corrections alone and then the added benefit of tuning the ignition map on top of the fuel map.
