that book is my BIBLE but your bike is different in so many ways it may not be entirely useful.

For $20, you really don't have much to lose.

Ok, I did my due diligence rather than be lazy as squirrel guilted me into and dug up the manual here. Geezus I am lazy. Seems good enough to get me down the road for my 88/89. Along with that addendum, I should be aces until I am not. :)

maybe.. not really sure until the shit hits the fan. I think I already downloaded that PDF and didn't realize it. It already has the wrong size carbs listed for my bike. Which was expected.

You keep forgetting just how different your 88/89 VFR is from the 86/87. You need the 88/89 SM if you want one. Sure there are some shared parts and concepts, but they were re-engineered in many systems a substantial amount.

I’ve been searching for the past couple of years for a riders handbook and a review of the FJ/FK to no avail ….I’m in the UK where it was sold too

The nearest was a review where the owner crashed the bike almost immediately and bought a FG

The fairing panels are different as is the rear subframe, it’s a completely different bike which makes it a real pain getting some parts
