Updating charging system on a 94VFR750. Few questions: the new Mosfet rectifier has the same spacing as the previous one but needs to be angled; thus, does not fit. For those who have installed one on a 4th generation VFR, how was this remedied? Also, previous rectifier used connectors. The three yellow wires go to stator, but old connector also has a red/white that goes to starter relay (I believe) and a green wire that just feeds into the wire harness. Should anything be done to these? Thanks for any suggestions.
i'm gonna try this LED voltmeter to warn me of low or no charging so i can head home before the battery gives up on every VFR i ride in the future. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-LED-Panel-DC-5-30V-Voltmeter-3-Digital-Voltage-Display-Meter-2-wire-3-color/162505013956?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid=555018&algo=PL.SIM&ao=2&asc=44840&meid=5738ff284ebe441a8be729f65f5cd34b&pid=100005&rk=1&rkt=6&sd=131984270789 IF it works for more than 2 days, i'll recommend a seldom-recommended Chinese product, the first on my VFR.
Go to roadstercycle.com . Also try YouTube. They have a video which I've seen which will explain it all.
