Installing Staintunes with Givi System on a VTEC

So yesterday I finally made time to install my Staintunes on my 04 VTEC. Everything was going fine until we tried to slide the cans onto the up-pipe when it appeared as though my Givi monokey system interfered with the corner of the pipes. We spent 2 hours jostling the pipes around with no luck. Has anyone been able to make the 'tunes fit with the Givi rack system? I really would rather not give up my E52, my wife loves the backrest. But then again, I also want the 'tunes. Has anyone had any success installing both?
