On my 2003 VFR800, I decided to replace all the vacuum hoses. They looked like hell after 32k miles and I was running down a problem which could potentially be vacuum related, so I decided to replace them all. I bought a few meters of 3.5mm vacuum hose, specifically this stuff: High Performance Silicone Vacuum Hose - 5 feet - .1375" ID (3.5mm) - Black : Amazon.com : Automotive I then simply removed each piece, cut my hose to length, and replaced. I noticed in the parts diagram that each hose was basically the same part, it just specifies the length to cut it. This is true for the hoses that lead to the FPR, as well as the four hoses that feed the MAP sensor.......they are just listed as "bulk hose" and specify the length. However, I noticed its not the same when it comes to the hoses that feed the t-joint, those each have distinct part numbers. so my question is two fold: 1. Why do they have separate part numbers, literally four separate part numbers for the "tubes" that come off the throttle body and feed the t-joint? 2. Are these basically 3.5mm vacuum hose just the same as the other connections off the throttle body or are they different? I replaced them, just the same, with 3.5mm vacuum hose, and I am just now thinking as I look at the parts diagram if I made a mistake by replacing these "tubes" with 3.5mm vacuum line: Honda Motorcycle Parts 2003 VFR800 AC THROTTLE BODY (TUBING) Diagram Just doesn't make sense to me that Honda would specify "bulk hose" with a common part number for 17 hoses coming off the throttle body, but then give four distinct part numbers for these "tubes". I appreciate any help!
