The following is an ebay auction for a 1986-87 VFR 750/700 Upper fairing ACCORDING TO THE SELLER.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/1986-1987-...491005?hash=item48a71f4a3d:g:q-AAAOSwhdZaU5uT

Is it just me or does this appear to be a NON HONDA Replica??

I would think the OEM Honda unit would come Pre-painted, decals intact, windshield mount tabs opened up, mirror mount holes opened up, etc.

NO Picture of the inside which I'd think would show it was OEM or not with certainty.

What do the forum members think.

    Regards to all

The seller however shows a OEM Honda part number on a box.

Are they trying to imply it is from "mother Honda" pwrhaps?

I think the auction may just be a bit deceptive (tongue in cheek).

Actually not a Chinese copy but an American copy, Airtech is located in So Cal.

The ad clearly reads ‘aftermarket’ and states by Airtech. The Honda part number is probably for reference so one can verify what the OEM part number is.

The seller conversed with me and when we agreed through discussion that this might in fact be an aftermarket he re-worded the auction and lowered the price by about $100 to reflect the aftermarket status. In my opinion a Stand Up person who wanted to do the right thing. I commend him.

Best of luck to the current bidder (if a member here).

To all those that were kind enough to provide their insight--THANKYOU.

    Best to all
