So Ive been out of the country working for the past 5 years and My Dad has been riding my 1998 VFR 800, But low and behold , as soon as I want it back, hes lost the keys. No joke, hes actually lost them.

So, conundrum, its parked up in the garage with the streeing lock on, Ive rang round some autolocksmiths in and around Nottingham UK, and their either not open or cant help me. Im stuck. Im not that technically minded, but my brother is here attempting to take the ignition block out, which ive been told is the way forward, and then someone can make a spare for me? god knows.

Anywho, any help, or advise would be very appreciated.

Lift up the gas tank tap and see if you have the numbers ingrave. Use the numbers and order your key thru dealer.

thanks for the feedback fellas, helpful. However, Do you know if the code I need can also be found on the ignition block? As my Bro is close to getting it out now :S

other than picking the tank lock, theres no way of getting the code?

    Cheers
