On Sunday I went up to Dallas / FortWorth area to pick up my bike. I left around 9am and got back around 5. Overall it was a good trip. The bike has a few scratches from the PO and it sounds like it needs a valve adjustment ( ticking sound from the engine ), tires look new, and a few other things but overall it was a geat buy! and it currently only has 22K miles not bad for a bike made in '86 that is about 1K miles a year.

nice looking bike. maybe you can get some pics during the adjustment and write up a how-to for other VF500 owners.

Nice bike.. When you have the calve covers off to check the valves you should just go ahead and replace the cam chain tensioners that way you wont have to do it again for 20,000 miles..
