No idea why the decals were removed.

It came with all the original equipment that was swapped out.

I plan on re-applying the missing decals. I already have a set. I prefer things stock but am OK to leave the mods on this one once I get the decals on.

    40,490 miles.
    Vance & Hines exhaust.
Ventura mounting system and Ventura bag.
Two color-matched RKA soft saddlebags with liners.
    HeliBars handlebar risers.
Steel-braided brake hoses front and rear.
Good Dunlop Sportmax tires and good brakes.
    Knight Design lowered footpegs.
One used and one new in box OEM seat cowl (plus passenger pad).
    Spare windshield.
    Tank pad.
Clymer shop manual AND Honda service manual AND Honda Owner’s manual (and tool kit, too). Battery Tender pigtail.
    Galindo handgrips.
    3 sets of keys.
    Clean title.
    Original Honda sales brochure.
Two boxes of extra electronic stuff, hoses, brake pads, bulbs, 4 oil filters and other miscellaneous parts and supplies too numerous to list individually.

Work completed in April, 2025 included: Adjust & lube chain, check coolant level & strength, oil level checked, tire pressures and fork seals OK, good sealed battery, clutch and brake fluids checked/flushed, test rode 40 miles and filled with fresh gas plus chemicals.

First-Wife.jpg I got the same pipe, I have another bike with a Yoshimura slip on that sounds a little more loud. I like the Ventura system, good score neighbor.

    Thank you, neighbor!

Beautiful machine you have there! Great colour combo with those wheels. I notice yours is also missing the "VFR" decal on the lower fairing. Is there a story behind that?

As far as mufflers.....this is my first Vance and Hines and I'm still processing it's sound. Like you, I have Yoshis on two of my other bikes (both RC26's)......and have never heard a better sounding cycle exhaust.

    Here's one.....a White:

    IMG_5645.JPG

And a video of the other, a Blue, taken during a test of some work where you can hear it's Yoshi.......

And my other RC36, which came with a single Kerker.......

The usual story is that they are probably the worst "VFR" decal ever applied by the Factory and must be banished...

OK thanks, Capt. Your bike looks gorgeous - well done!

Personally, I would have left it as is because of my passion for originality.

Different strokes for different folks! :)

Is that why you have a Yellow 87 VFR?

That was my first VFR - bought back in '97.

It came to me that way.

    I didn't change it.

Hell - you should see how well the re-paint job was done.

You can't even tell it was re-painted.

And you know what? I had never heard of a Honda VFR when I bought it. I learned more about them much later on.

Including the colors they came in from the factory.

So it's taken me a while to get to where I am knowledge-wise.

    OK?

No worries. I'm always down for a debate or discussion. And pretty comfortable in my own skin, as I know you are.

The important thing is our passion for these machines and having this wonderful social media platform with which to share it on.

    So get ready....it's coming......;)

the dyno run with the black bike with the gold chain sounds excellent. why is'nt the tach working on the bike with the left hand exit exhaust? Thanks, my black bike was no stranger to the asphalt, I never cared and had mis-matched body work on it for years up in NJ, I moved down to South FL around 98 and someone shamed me into painting it as he said, "you love that thing, why not paint it." So, 75 dollars a panel, I had a South African doode paint it in Granite Blue from ColorRite, original tank and tail section, everything else was painted, job was done around 2006. Now, I understand it cost way more for paint jobs. I got a white one that is more stock 122118 (2).jpg

Something about that panel Baz that looks like a re-spray.

Could be. That's from the first RC36 I bought a couple years ago - not this one I just got.
