Just did a bunch of work and buttoning it all back up and I have two connectors under the air box that I am at a loss about. They are both round and grey and have 3 wires running into them. The connectors themselves are exactly the same, but the wires running into them are different. The first has a pink wire, a light green wire and a dark green wire. The second has a light green wire a dark green wire and a red and yellow wire running into it. I beleive one of them goes to the MAP sensor, and I believe it to be the first one, but while I am here, would like someone to confirm. But I have no friggin' clue where the second one goes, I can't see the other half of the connector anywhere. But if I had an idea where to look, it might be easier. Anyone out there know what I am talking about and able to offer some direction?
If it is any help, the bike starts, and will idle, but dies when revved.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure the r/y, lg and dark green is to the map sensor....I think the second one goes to the throttle position sensor. The TP sensor is on the lower, right side, of the throttle bodies, that is the only three wire connector with a pink wire. There are only three, three wire connectors...clutch diode, TP and the MAP sensor. The rest of the plugs in that area are different colors and have no more than two wires....

One thing about the grey VFR plugs...they can only be connected to a single location...they only fit that connector.

Both connectors will actually fit the MAP sensor, I tried that route. Without starting the bike, in case it would cause harm. Will have to find the TP sensor, thanks.

Since the wiring diagram in the Honda service manual is in black and white, it doesn't really help. They identify the colors in print, but that doesn't make it easy to scan looking for colors. Plus, I noticed, oddly it doesn't actually cover a '04, California model, with ABS.

But, looking at my Haynes manual, I see the 2nd connector going to the MAP sensor, it looks like, but strangely enough, it looks like connector 1 goes into a box that the other wires come out of, that doesn't make any sense, does it? Not a labled box, just a box made out of two rectangles. That means nothing to me, but I suck at electrical stuff, admitedly, and no experience with reading wiring diagrams.

I think this might be all your fault anyway NorCal, since I think this is all tied to my attempt to try to emulate your smog equipment removal.
