When the 1000R I am working on now was crashed and pushed the whole upper cowl stay over a few inches, the only thing that was cracked or broken out of all of the plastic and gauges was the fuse cover. It is not a plastic that seems to want to be glued or epoxied with success.

So, does anybody have an extra to sell?

Appreciate any 1000R owners looking through their extra stuff.
    Mike.

Doesn’t remotely look familiar. I remember years ago I was at the Honda shop getting a clutch lever for my wife’s VT500 Ascot (twin), and I asked why the Ascot single didn’t share the same lever (both current models), he said that Honda gave the designs to two different teams that never talked to each other!

Possible to machine. Might have to go to a simplified version if I go that route. Wish we had a 3D scanner here at work, I'd have one printed.

I'm feeling ya on the 3d scanning. I have a service that I've used, but they start at $100 and it goes up from there, based upon size and complexity. I do have a guy that does it by hand however, and he does single pieces at a reasonable cost.

Yeah, really trying to avoid spending $50 on a plastic fuse cover.

100 points + to straycat, good man !

i wuz gonna say that i could have it reproduced with 3-D printing if you had a computer file u could send, just like i copied the fuse cover for '86/'87 VFR's.
