Well, I went on a diet, and lost about 5 lbs. Then, took of the passenger grab bars & hardware, the passenger footpegs with brackets and hardware, seat and helmet lock and hardware, and pulled rubber plug from air box. Added a rear seat cowl which helps hold the seat in place. Haven't added up the weight loss, but would guess about 2 lbs. Any other ideas on throwing off something not essential (forget about the center stand, it has to stay!) thanks! Keith
There was a good thread similar to this question regarding if money were no object, how could I decrease the weight... lemma see if I can find it... Ahh, here you go... http://vfrworld.com/forums/modifica...eight-reduction.html?highlight=weight+savings
trying that route myself. it's working for RW but not so much for me yet. I still havent given up the beer, though.
far easier to pay to lose weight on the motorcycle, than to work on my own spare tire! not to start another tire thread mind you
I weight 120lbs without gear. I'm working on this new diet: Binge during lunch & salad & a small meal for supper...I think it's working. will weight myself once a week to check!
