"Lump" when turning front wheel while bike stoped.

    Hi! Not always, but my 2000 VFR800 Fi sometimes does this.. I'm sitting on it, stopped, and when i turn the wheel, it seems that the handlebar turns more than the wheel, almost like there's a "deadzone"... Also, while accelerating, the front suspension is raised, when i brake and the suspension lowers, sometimes i hear and feel a "click" on the handlebar...
    Any ideas? Do i have to swap the direction bearings?

    Check for loose and/or wornout headset bearings. Sounds like the culprit. The bearing or race will sometimes develop a "notch" in the middle from wear, or from a big hit while the headset was loose. You may feel this as you turn the handlebars side to side. Even if you do not, your bearings need attention. I would inspect and/or replace them as soon as possible.
