So it looks like I will be in Germany for about six months working. And NO the VFR cannot go with me. But I was wondering even with the exchange rate being crap, is there anything I should go shopping for especially in regards to riding? Oh and I will not be paying import tax and shipping in general should be cheap.

Seriously though. There are a few members in Germany. Douglas the Cook is one of them. When you get there set up a BBQ and toast VFRW German style!

Why not buy another VFR whilst you are over in Germany, It will be cheaper than renting any decent bike for 6 months? You can pick up early 6th gens for between 4,000 and 6,000 euro on ebay.de and after running it for 6 months you should still get much the same money. The best bit is there are no speed limits on many Germany motorways so you can find out how fast they go without risking your licence.
