Was wondering if anyone has tried to pull / pried the mirror off it's socket ? I'm thinking over some mirror ideas here and seems just maybe if one was to be able to get the mirror housing off the stock arm, then just maybe there would be some other options. But seeing how it is probably attached when the housing is very warm. trying to pull it apart cold or even heat gun warm, ain't happening. Then the chance the mirror won't take the stress, taking it to a place of no return. any way just wondering?

Just smash the Glass and undo the nut

Then you can replace the mirror head with another with a built in indicator but the wire will have to run along the outside of the arm unless you can get someone to drill the arm out to accept the wire internally
