Well, new to this board but I have been checking alot of post in the last month and I saw the post on lowering the vfr. Let me tell you, it was the easiest free mod that didn't cost anything but 30 min of me & my buddie's time with simple hand tools. We rotated the triangle as directed and it dropped about 3/4 inches, then we lowered the front by a full inch to give it a slightly nicer stance and turn-in. Only looks like about a 1/4 inch difference between front and back but I didn't notice any vibration at high speeds whatsoever and the clearance is perfect. I also just ordered the Givi touring screen, got it through Ridenow.com for $95, and I ordered the cortech tribag setup, which ran approximately $171. Free shipping also. I think these might be the best deals out there guys. So all I have left is to add some good grips, heavier bar ends, and work on the seat a tad. God knows how, but I'm also getting 280 miles out of a tank of gas. That's good enough for long trips, if only I can keep my hand off the throttle when approaching twisties....

    Seat lowering/resculpting

There are several tutorials on the net about reshaping/refoaming your seat. Go slow and do a good job, restretch the vinyl and its a new seat for little $.
