My Poor Hometown!

    These pics were taken a couple days ago in South Lake Tahoe. That little red dot at the top is actually the sun. And yes, for you animal lovers out there, the horse was evacuated safely.

    Needless to say, I haven't ridden much since Sunday (I work in hazmat/environmental health for the jurisdiction in which the fire is located)

    I was up there for work on Monday (couldn't get to the site due to the fire) and several of my friends have lost their homes. Reports are that it should be contained by July 3. Hopefully sooner. Every morning I look up the hill to see how much or little smoke there is.:frown:

    I actually live about an hour west, but I know two people who lost their homes up there. Pretty devastating stuff for sure.
