I have an 05 Kawi Z1000 that I've been trying to sell and it is also on the local Craigslist. Im considering trades for supermotos and so a fellow called me up seeing if I'd be interested in an 03 KTM 525 SX, with Baja kit for lights, two sets of tires & wheels (dirt & street, each with brake rotors set up, respectively), new DID chain, Trail tech endurance speedo, well maintained. Street ready or forest ready in 30 mins. He's the orig. owner. Nada lists the bike for $1400 low & $1750 high with no accessories, I am expecting trade + cash, if he wants my bike. I don't know much about KTM dirt or SM bikes, only Suzi, Honda, Yami, and Kawis What do you guys know? Suggestions, advice, input. Give it to me.
KTM is pretty much top notch, but with out seeing it and touching it, be really hard to say much, especially since it has mods. but other wise KTM is a worthy model in the SM class. I would talk to a dealer near by and get their feed back. I know I wish they brought over the 990sm to the states. Now talk about a urban assault machine, and trouble.
