Went looking for some leather. What I noticed is a lack of Honda branded leathers, so ended up with a 2 piece A* jacket (MotoGP) and pants (track). For reference I am 5'-9", 43", 35" waist and weigh 165-170. I looked at all the sizing information over multiple sites and ended up getting 54/44 (eu/us) jacket and 52/36 pants. The fit was actually almost perfect. I can not imagine getting any other sizes that could possibly fit any better. The jacket came with a removable vest, not worn yet. The jacket and pants zip together, 270+ degrees, and feels very secure. I rode from Charlotte area to Asheville via Lake Lure on Sat. and the leather felt comfortable. Lots of vents on the jacket and pants, and could really tell that there was air flow thru the jacket and pants. Especially when the weather turned to light rain and the air cooled. On the bike the pads and armour was well placed, while off the bike the knee pads are bulky and hang alittle low, still it was not too bad to walk around. Actually by the end of the day I could hardly tell I was wearing leather. I would definitely purchase again and very glad I pulled the trigger on this purchase. Now if only there was some better Honda branded gear that matched the bike.
awesome yep the pants are made to ride in not walk alpine star can't miss they are just awesome love it...dress for the crash not the ride.........f the honda gear your suit will go with anything except a pos harley wait i meant fin pos harley ohh now i can breathe better...
Where did you purchase from? How much? Pretty much the only Honda branded stuff you will find anymore is made by Joe Rocket. The Alpinestars is a better jacket, trust me on that one. KC-10 FE out... lane: :usa2:
I ended up getting them ordered through local dealer. A little better than online (new enough) due to some discounts I get for buying the bike from them. Really is an awesome 2 piece suit. I also like the 3/4 Sidi boots also, probably go for Sidi for full length boot also for track use. Will this arrangement be ok for most track days?
You're set with those leathers. Whether the boots are good enough is up to whoever is running the track day. Different organizations have different rules. For more info on boots, read this.
