I recently purchased a 1999 VFR 800 with 31K on it. I used to have a CBR 600 F1 and loved it but I always drooled over the VFR. Now I have one! It's red with chromed wheels, yosh pipe, slim body assy, new tires/brakes, fork seals....ect. It's in great shape for being 10 yrs old.
I will be using this bike for lots of commuting to work and back. It needs to be comfy.
I would like to know about some handle bar risers-how high can you go without changing cables?
I would like some info on saddle bags-hard or soft-which ones are the best. Corbin makes some but not for my year. Anyone else make hard bags?
Any other items needed to make this bike a real nice cruiser.

I live in Washington state and used to have a M3 permit. Can I just renew or do I have to take the test over again.
    Thanks,

    Aden Rich

I'm using Helli bars on my 6th Gen, they do not require longer cables, or lines. My front brake line is at the max, but no leaks so far.

Givi makes hard bags for Honda. A Sargent seat is quite nice for longer rides.
    Congrats, and welcome aboard.

Welcome. I live in sunny Washington too. Ok so it's not really sunny its wet. I did manage to go for a nice ride Saturday. I just recently purchased Givi saddle bags and the trunk. Right now I am only using the truck because the previous owner of the bike took the stock fender off and so I have not bought all of the stock parts yet to install the saddle bag brackets.
