Picking up my new (read zero miles) 2003 red Honda VFR 800 ABS hopefully this weekend.
Have been riding a Triumph Thunderbird Sport for 5 years, my son has a 2001 Triumph RS. Before that I had a Yamaha Radian and way back in time my only prior Honda, a 305 from 1970.

Nice... I am sure you'll get a good deal.. BTW, how do you like the ABS version? I was adviced that ABS doesn't work well on two wheels.. Plus, at some point in time, the rider wants to have full control of how they brake.. Cuz ABS tend to take place automatically, so you will have no control over it when it kicks in.

Anyone, please better educate me if I am getting the wrong advices. ;)

I am happy with the deal. Schedule prevents 250 mile trip to pick it up for a VFR 800 ride home.
Cannot comment on the ABS, have not been on the bike. If non ABS VFR's were available I would have opted for it. Maybe after riding it though, I will like ABS.
